Payment Options:

  • A major credit card from a traditional banking institute is required to rent a vehicle. 

  • Debit, Check, and ATM cards are not accepted. Pre-paid cards, Apple Cards, and Chime Cards are not accepted. All cards must have a working chip.

  • All drivers must be at least 27 or older.

Cancellation Policy

  • 48-hour advance cancellation is required.

Required Documents

  • Valid driver’s license, significant credit from a traditional banking institution, and a valid 2nd form of ID: Passport, Military I.D, Costco/Sam’s Club, Work Photo I.D Badge

  • Does not accept digital driver’s licenses 

  • Driver must have valid Car insurance, and car insurance must have ”car renter’s” insurance coverage.   

  • All documents must be in the driver’s name

  • All vehicles are non-smoking (cleaning fees may apply).

  • Vehicles are allowed in the Greater Los Angeles Area only

  • Refuel your vehicle to avoid additional fees

  • Driver’s licenses issued outside of the U.S. must be printed in the Latin Alphabet or accompanied by a valid international driver’s license.

Driver’s License Requirements

  • An acceptable, valid driver’s license issued from your country of residence must be presented at the time of rental. The driver’s license must be valid for the entire rental period. If the driver’s license is in a language other than English, an International Driver’s Permit is required. In all cases, a valid driver’s license from your home country must be provided, whether or not you possess an International Driver’s Permit. You cannot rent a car with only an International Driver’s Permit. The driver’s license must be in the original form, with no copies, and be in the main driver's name. The credit card must have the same name as the driver’s license.

  • The renter’s driver’s license must be valid for the entire rental period.

  • Yes, an international Driver’s License is accepted, but an International Driving Permit (IDP) alone is not sufficient. 

    • Your home country’s valid driver’s license is always necessary for rental with Midway Car Rental. An International Driving Permit (IDP) is a translation of your home country’s (other than English language) driver’s license. At the time of rental, you must present your home country’s valid driver’s license and, if you have one, an IDP to assist us in translating it. The IDP, by itself, is insufficient for rental with Midway Car Rental.

  • Additional drivers can be added at the counter during the rental process. The added driver must be present with the main driver and have a valid Driver’s License. There is no charge for additional drivers over the age of 25. If the driver is between 21 and 24, an underage fee will be charged (the fee will vary based on the vehicle make/model). There can be a maximum of 3 drivers per vehicle.

Credit Card Charged For Parking Citation Without Notice.

  • Our terms and conditions state “without prior notification” since reaching out to each renter per citation mailed is nearly impossible. In the Greater Los Angeles Area, the city will likely impound the vehicles due to unpaid multiple parking citations; thus, we do our very best to clear it all up so that current/future renters will not suffer or be inconvenienced by an oversite from our previous customers.
